You’re planning a new website, and you want to rank high on Google. Should your domain name include keywords or should it not?

Hello, everyone, I’m Zarrar Khan, and today, I’m going to respond to, should your domain name contain any keywords? Well, if you want to rank higher in search engines, of course, having keywords help a lot. Just look at the website hotels.com. Why does this website rank so well for all the hotel-related words? This is because they have hotels within their domain name.

Now, this doesn’t mean they’re the most significant site within the place. Priceline is a much larger company. Expedia owns Hotels.com. Hotels.com isn’t even the most well-known hotel booking site. Booking.com is. Booking.com doesn’t own the keyword within its domain. If you do have the keyword inside your domain name, it does make it easier to rank but, if you don’t, that is fine.

My Blog’s Domain Name Keywords

Look at technoguidez.com. I rank for blogging. The name blogging isn’t in my blog’s domain name. But, if you want to rank higher than your competitors in search engines, you want to make sure the keyword is inside your URL. If you look at the term blogging, that word is within the URL of the page that ranks on Google for blogging.

So the quick response is, should you have the keyword within your domain? Yes, if you can get a domain name that is loaded with a keyword, make sure to get one. If you cannot get a keyword in your domain name and you’re thinking about getting a more longer domain name than the small ones, such as famousbesthotels.com, it’s not worth it because it is not catchy.

People will never go to type that within Google or other search engines, and you will never want your company to be called like that. So, if you can get a short domain name like cars.comhotels.com, go ahead and buy that immediately. If you do not, make your domain name anything out there, anything that’s brandable, re-memorable, something that is familiar to the business that you like. And make sure you include all the keywords within the URL.
